WATCH: Chantel Jeffries opens up about Justin Bieber
Chantel Jeffries gave her first interview about her relationship with Justin Bieber on Tuesday’s “E! News.”

The model, who was with the singer shortly before his arrest in Miami and later traveled to Panama with him, told Terrence Jenkins that she “didn’t date” Bieber despite appearing to get cozy together on a number of occasions.
Asked point-blank whether she and the star ever kissed or slept in the same bed, Jeffries shot the questions down.
“We’re friends. Do you kiss your friends, Terrence?… Do you sleep in the same bed as your friends?” she said.
And when asked about rumors that Bieber is addicted drugs, is out of control, lost himself, and doesn’t have anyone telling him “no,” she called all the claims “misconceptions about Justin.”
Jeffries, who said she met the teen superstar through mutual friends, said she never saw him do drugs, but admitted, “I’m not around all the time. In the past I don’t know what’s happened with him, and it’s not really my place to say anything.”
As for their infamous night together in Miami, she said she couldn’t talk about the DUI and drag racing arrest for “legal reasons.”
“He was just happy to be out,” said Jeffries about Bieber when he was released from jail and they set off to Panama.
“I think he just wanted to get away and have some fun, probably thinking Panama would be a place there wouldn’t be so much attention,” she explained, going on to call Bieber “a good person.”
Jeffries, who said last month she would “never sell my story” about her time with Bieber and wasn’t being paid for her time with E!, laughed when told she’s been labeled a “gold-digger.”
“If anything, you can say I’m a goal-digger,” she replied, “because, guess what? I have my own goals. And I’m focused on those. I don’t really need anybody else.”
She added, “I’m like a strong independent woman.”
