WATCH: Ariana Grande Has Sing-Off In 'Ew!' Sketch With Jimmy Fallon
Ariana Grande appeared as a teen named “Alexa Armstrong” in the latest episode of “Ew!” on Friday’s “The Tonight Show.” On the fictitious Teen Nick show, hosted by “Sara” (Jimmy Fallon), the two girls had a sing-off, took selfies, and went through what makes them go “ew” (video below).
After Alexa and Sara talked about getting “likes” on Instagram, the two friends took a selfie before having a sing-off. Sara first sang something completely unintelligible, prompting Alexa to say, “I probably shouldn’t go… I can’t top that.” But being Ariana Grande, of course, she sang some amazingly high notes to the word “ew.”
Sara then ran through a number of things to see if Alexa thought they were “ew” or “cool.” While Alexa thought Richard Dreyfuss was cool because he starred in Close Encounters of the Third Kind, she said hummus, neck pillows, and venti lattes were “ew,” noting “I prefer grande.” At one point, however, both Grande and Fallon broke character and had a hard time containing their laughter.
Grande joins a slew of other stars who have appeared on “Ew,” including Taylor Swift, Will Ferrell (in drag), Lindsay Lohan, Michelle Obama, and Zac Efron and Seth Rogen (in drag).
