Universal Confirms 'Pitch Perfect 3' Cast Members, Announces Release Date

The massive musical franchise Pitch Perfect 3 has been locked down for a July 21, 2017 release, Universal Pictures announced via Twitter on Monday.
The film will mark the return of Anna Kendrick‘s Beca, Rebel Wilson‘s Fat Amy, and Elizabeth Banks, who played Gail and directed PP2, will return to produce. Anna shared her excitement by uploading an Instagram photo of herself holding three fingers and wrote the caption, “Happening #3.”

— #PitchPerfect2 (@PitchPerfect) June 15, 2015The news comes after Pitch Perfect screenwriter Kay Cannon launched negotiations with Universal and Gold Circle last week, The Hollywood Reporter originally reported. The premise of the third installment, along with the rest of the cast, has yet to be announced.
PP2, which also stars Brittany Snow, Hailee Steinfeld, Skylar Astin, and Adam DeVine, has grossed over $170 million domestically and over $259 million worldwide.
