Same-Sex Marriage Becomes Legal In The Florida Keys
Congratulations, Florida! As of today, same-sex marriage in parts of the Florida Keys will be legal.
This comes after a critical court ruling Thursday morning that declared the same-sex marriage ban approved in 2008 violated the U.S. Constitution. Circuit Judge Luis M. Garcia who issued the ruling says licenses could be issued starting Tuesday. The ruling only applies to Monroe County, but hopefully it will have a "domino effect" on other areas.
We hope this is a positive sign of things to come!
