Nickelodeon's 'Sam & Cat' Cancelled, Ending On Thursday
The curtain is coming down on Nickelodeon's hit show "Sam & Cat." The show, starring Ariana Grande and "iCarly's" Jennette McCurdy, is set to air its final episode later this week.
The network has confirmed the cancellation, releasing a statement after airing promos teasing "only two more episodes." It says it will "not be producing more episodes" but wishes the "very talented cast" all the best.
The move comes after "Sat & Cat" was put on a "permanent hiatus" earlier this year following an extended first season. There were also rumors of on-set tension between stars Ariana and Jennette, which were spurred on after Jennette didn't show up at April's Kids' Choice Awards due to a reported contract dispute.
"Sam & Cat's" series finale will air Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Eastern.
