Miley Cyrus meets fan with Leukemia after Twitter campaign
Miley Cyrus is taking time to do some good as she travels the country on her "Bangerz" tour. The pop star has been stirring up controversy with her onstage antics, but last week she made one fan's dream come true.
During her stop in Minnesota, Miley met with Lulu Martinez, a young fan battling leukemia. "USA Today" says it was Martinez's older sister Brittany who started a campaign on Twitter to reach the star, by using the hashtag #MileyToLulu.
Local radio station 101.3 KDWB in Minneapolis caught wind of their social media effots and helped them achieve their goal by arranging the meet-and-greet with Miley.
At the concert in St. Paul Monday night, Miley invited not only Lulu, but her whole group of friends to come backstage after the show. She tells the paper that the singer complimented their custom t-shirts the group had made for the show, calling the evening "memorable."
