Hilary Duff's comeback kicks into high gear

2014 is the year of Hilary Duff. Following the news the former Disney princess had signed a brand new record deal, word has now arrived that "Younger," a TV Land series starring Duff–along with Sutton Foster, Debi Mazar and Miriam Shor–has been given a 12-episode order.

Deadline reports that the single-camera shot series, written and produced by "Sex and the City‘s" Darren Star, will take precedence at the network. “There’s nothing better than making a single camera film comedy in New York – and I’m thrilled to be doing this one with TV Land,” he tells the site on Monday (April 14).

The show is based on the novel (of the same name) by Pamela Redmond Satran. Foster plays the mother (Liza), who has found herself single again, and must dive back into the job marketplace. She quickly discovers that it’s not so easy starting from scratch at her age. Mazar portrays her best friend (named Maggie), who gives her a makeover–following Liza’s encounter with a young man who tells her she looks 26.

Liza then lands a job as an assistant to Shor’s character, Diana. Duff (as co-worker Kelsey) attempts to help her pursue her dreams. Sounds like a recipe of must-see television!

The show is aiming for a fall 2014 premiere.

And the Duff domination continues…

Side note: There better be some Gordo realness.
