Guess which state is the happiest
Can you guess which state is the happiest? It's not Florida, the Sunshine state, and it's not Hawaii, the Aloha state. Although Hawaii did hold the number one spot up until recently, the reigning "happy" state is North Dakota. According to Gallup's Well-Being Index, various factors including work environments, health, basic access to food, water, and medical care make North Dakota number one. A resident's quality of life is ranked out of 100 and the closer a state is the better and North Dakota received a 70.4. Other states in the Midwest like South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, and Montana followed very closely!
