Ariana Grande Performs 'Bang Bang' With Little Big Town At CMA Awards
Ariana Grande performed at the CMAs for the first time ever on Wednesday, taking the stage with Little Big Town. The pop star collaborated with the country music group on “Day Drinking” and “Bang Bang” while wearing neon, glowing outfits.
Grande’s CMA Awards performance was announced last month, along with the news that Meghan Trainor would join Miranda Lambert. Little Big Town singer Karen Fairchild later told Ryan Seacrest that she and her band mates are “big fans of her voice and talent.” “She’s had an incredible year and it was a wild hair to dream up this collaboration, but we’re so excited she said yes,” said Fairchild. She further said that she hoped Grande would “enjoy the party because no one puts on a better party than Nashville and the CMA awards.” The singer explained, “In country music we’re lucky to have some of the kindest most talented people in the business, and we’re excited to introduce her to our friends.”
Grande and Little Big Town spent the last few days teasing the performance, with the country act writing on Twitter on Tuesday:
