Eric Klarenbeek, an artist-designmer from the Netherlands thought people were getting bored with regular contact lenses and created The Eye Jewelry Project. You can now dangle Swarovski diamonds from your eyeballs, bu are the lenses safe?
When asked what would happen if someone tugged on the line, the artist calmly responded that "they would just fall out or the wire might break." Another doctor, an ophthalmologist from Beverly Hills, Dr. Brian Boxer-Wachler, disagreed and said that "potential bleeding may occur as the string scratches against sensitive skin layers."
