Radio WHAT - Featured Artist - The Fabulous Marla G - The song "Marla G - Set Me Free " is on the playlist now. Search the playlist under "M" and click on any of the versionr and remixes to play them. The Music You Want is on Radio WHAT at http://www.radioWHAT.com/. Marla G can seemingly be described as spectacular, it was back around the late 80’s and early 90’s where she emerged into the club scene with dynamic songs like “Take me Away” and “Love Me Baby” within a matter of time, she was performing in all the major hot spots throughout the NYC metropolitan area such as: Palladium, Paleds, Emerald City, just to name a few.  Her popularity within the
Freestyle Community has presented itself as a challenge for years.  As a versatile artist she has contributed even to other major recording artists as a songwriter, translating songs from English to Spanish (which she did for Lisa Lisa) and perfecting her own composing for her latest projects.
Marla G came to NY from her native homeland “Puerto Rico,” as a promising 11 year old from a musically inclined family, very little doubt remains where she acquired her talent.  Her mother was a 1st soprano of a local church choir, her dad had a salsa band and her brother is a very talented drummer who has assembled his band called “Element of Surprize” who accompanies Marla G from time to time.
Marla knew she was born to sing.  During her High School years she was the lead soprano of her High School Choir; her achievements didn’t end there…she also sang at her church choir and was a member of the All City High School Chorus where she was became a recipient of a scholarship to further her singing goals.  Not to mention, she was also a part of the Drama team in her HS and also performed with The New Rican Village Theatre Troops in off Broadway productions.
At present, Marla G has shared the musical entertainment stage with many other well known major recording artists and legends.  Gloria Gaynor (I Will Survive), Shannon (Let The Music Play) and the unforgettable Johnny O (Fantasy Girl) just to name a few. And as we mentioned before her ability to achieve success in different major markets weather in the Hispanic or English markets sets her apart from your normal recording divas.
The Fabulous Marla G

Her future is blossoming wonderfully, her fans have acknowledged her step of faith and she is entering into a stronger plateau than ever before. Marla’s loyal fans are completely behind her and have experienced her powerful, captivating talents and performances. It’s no wonder why her fans are exuberant about her future.  Her latest project “Set Me Free,” by Marla G written by Johnny O on Bug City Records, will leave you breathless. With powerful remixes by Freddy “The edit” Riviera, DJ Dan “Scream” Scott and more to be announced.
